Hi Fit Friends!
Today, I am playing catch up! I feel like it's been weeks since I have had time to sit down and blog....the holidays are apon us and this mom is staying busy as a bee! I know all of you are busy too, so I want to share a fun project that COULD save you some time if you were to say....need to dye marshmallows....oh and marshmAllow is spelled with an 'A'. Just a little something I learned recently😳
The fall festival for Fit Toddler's school was the ever so exciting FROZEN theme this year. Walking into Hobby Lobby and Target to gather my crafts, it came to my attention that FROZEN is the most popular thing since sliced bread! "Let it go!"
Anyways, we were in charge of decorating a booth called Marshmallow Mayhem. After finding out on Tuesday that this project was due Saturday, two other crafty moms and I started brainstorming, texting back and forth, and shopping! We gathered our ideas and met on Friday for decorating and drinks🍸🍸.
First, I dyed the marshmallows pink, purple and turquoise the night before. You basically have to submerge the marshmallows in food dye and let them sit for 5-10 minutes. The easiest way I found was to take a large pot, fill with some water and dye, place the mallows in and press under water with a smaller lid and place a weight on top to hold them down.
They had to dry, and then we gave them some sparkle with spray glitter and sprinkles. See pics!
We cut out letters to say "marshmallow mayhem". We used a hot glue gun to glue the marshmallows and snowflakes on our board, and hung plastic table cloths as our back ground. Check out the pics! This was a fun, FROZEN project! xo Fit Mom
