Fit Foodies!
It's pizza night at the Pyle's, and we are not ordering in or popping in a frozen pizza.....we are making our own! This is one of our very favorite family nights at home. It gives you a chance to get creative, add as many or little toppings as you want, and get a little messy in the kitchen. Don't forget the VINO too!🍷
First, we went to the store and got all the toppings we desired. Second, we stopped by a local pizza parlor and picked up some dough. Third, we put on our aprons and got to work!
Preheat your oven to 500 and place your pizza stones in the oven. Spread some flour out on your kitchen counter and roll out that dough...toss it if you can (see pics of Mario....I mean Bill and his flying pizza).. Dust your dough with EVOO and Italian spices. Then get creative with your toppings.
Bill's Italian special pizza:
Pizza sauce
Pepperoni
Green olives
Red and green bell peppers
Mozzarella cheese
My Mediterranean pizza:
Pesto
Grilled chicken
Artichokes
Black olives
Mozzarella cheese
Bake on your pizza stone for about 10-15 minutes or until done to your liking.
And just like that, you have your very own pizzas! See pictures below!
