Hey Fit Readers,
My baby girl is two months old today. The time flies when you're having fun AND working out!
On June 26th Molly was born, and on June 31st Molly was learning what it was like to be pushed in the stroller. That's right! I started exercising 5 days after having fit baby #2. Now, I was not going full force, but I did start out walking 2 miles a day for a few weeks. As I felt comfortable walking briskly for two miles, I decided to add to it. At 3 weeks I was walking and jogging 2.5-3 miles, and by 6 weeks I was jogging 4 miles. It felt great and I got rid of most of the baby weight. I had gained 20 pounds and was down 12 of those pounds...only 8 to go!
At 6 weeks, I returned to work and was right back on my regular schedule! 6 classes a week. No big deal, right? Well, then I found out they needed me to sub a few extra classes. I would be teaching 5 spinning classes, 2 boot camps, and a kickboxing class! 8 classes a week! No biggy I thought. I now have a twitch in my left eye from exhaustion, but I lost an additional 4 pounds! Now at 2 months out of labor, I am 2 pounds from my original weight! I know what you're thinking...bragging, right? No way! I want everyone who has trouble after having a baby with weight loss to know that I struggle with weight...if I can do it, you can do it! Exercise is powerful, and I worked hard all through my pregnancy and will continue to work hard after.
Happy 2 months, Molly and happy 18lbs down to me! Check out this before and after!
