Hey Fit Readers!
This week I have been talking a lot about nutrition, and today, I want to take a minute to talk about protein. What is your favorite protein? Do you like it in the form of a meat? A shake? A bar? There are so many sources of protein out there....but where can you get the most protein and still stay low in calories and sugar? I'll tell you a few of my favorites!
First, I love lean meats like chicken, turkey, eggs, and fish. These all are great sources of proteins....keep in mind grilling and baking keeps these lean...no frying, sorry!
Second, my personal favorite snack is cottage cheese. A 1/2 cup of 2% low fat cottage cheese has 90 calories, 5 sugars, and 11 proteins. Great snack!
Third, my all time favorite protein shake is EAS Advantage Carb Control. It is an easy breakfast or after workout meal. 100 calories, zero sugars, and 17 proteins. Awesome! The flavors are tasty too!
Lastly, my favorite protein bar is Pure. It is a 180 calories, 2 sugars and a whopping 20 grams of protein. Try it! You will like it.
