Hey Fit Friends!
Today we are talking about triceps! That's right...the triceps brachii muscles. Tri, meaning three, means there are three muscle bundles in your triceps: long head, lateral head, and medial head. There are many exercises that work the triceps, and I am going to show them to you!
Most of my women clients say, "I want to tone up my flabby arms, or what can I do about this extra skin." Toning the body with weights is a great start, but you have to eat right too!
Here are some great toning exercises for your triceps:
Triceps Cable Pull Down: start with elbows bent, holding onto the rope and then straighten out the arms and pull down. Repeat
Triceps Dips on a Bench: start sitting on the edge of a bench with your hands on either side of your hips. Bring your body away from the bench and hold yourself up. Slowly bend your elbows and lower yourself down and up. Repeat. This is a great exercise that can be performed anywhere!
Triceps Extension Overhead: holding a dumbbell with both hands overhead, bend your arms behind your head and press back overhead. Repeat
Triceps Kickback: hold a dumbbell at your side and bend your arm with your elbows up. Slowly press the weights back so your arm is extended and then bend it back. Repeat
Time to tone up your triceps with these exercises! Stay tuned for my next blog on exercises for your quads!
