Hi Fit Fans!
Welcome to a new series on sculpting your body! Over the next month, I will be writing about my favorite exercises that sculpt each muscle group. I hope you will tune in and learn about your muscles, new exercises, and the most effective workouts for you.
Today I am going to start with the glutes. Your glutes are a large muscle group also known as your buttocks. The glutes are made up of three main muscles: gluteus Maximus, gluteus medius, and gluteus minimums.
Most of my new client sessions start out with discussing their goals, and most people say "I need to tone up", and most people also say "I need to lose fat in my butt". Some of my favorite exercises for your butt are a bridge and the glute kickback.
Bridge: laying on your back with your knees bent and feet on the ground, raise your hips up off the ground and squeeze your glutes; hold 1-2 seconds and return your glutes back to the ground. Repeat 20 times.
Glute kickbacks: starting on all fours (hands and knees), flex your feet and kick upward with one leg. Continue to kick the leg up and return back down 20 times and then switch to the other leg. Make sure to tighten your glute at the top of the kick.

Get your butt in shape and stay fit!
