Hey Fit Fans,
I hope you are enjoying your weekend! I actually thought about writing this blog on Friday and didn't get around to it. It's funny because one of my fit readers gave me a news paper article on this very same subject over the weekend. As I was thinking about my blog, I wanted to some how incorporate the football games. And then I thought....perfect no excuses and football! Those go together perfectly. In the gym, I hear excuses all the time...."well I was going to workout but..." or "I tried to eat healthy but...". I've heard them all. People are full of excuses when it comes to doing something they don't really want to do.
So, as I was gearing up for the Texas vs OU and the Ole Miss vs ATM games, I thought of both of my favorite teams as the underdogs of the weekend. And I thought about the excuses we make for our teams. "Well, we would have won that game but...." or "one of our players in injured". But in reality, those are in fact excuses. Why do we make excuses? Because it's the easy way out! I will tell you that while watching the football games, it was clear that my favorite teams were not making excuses, but rather working together to be a team. And, they came out with a TX win! Although, Ole Miss did not win, I am still proud of their strong efforts and great playing.
So, what are your excuses? Do you make excuses to not workout? If so, I hope next time you will skip the excuse instead of skipping the gym.
Stay fit friends!
